Angel Finally, they had reached their destination. No more wondering about whether or not they were going to survive. They were here. The young filly wanted to leap for joy and whinny for happiness because she had just made it out of a life or death situation and, made a new friend. Angel considered the two friends. Why else would he have offered her water? To ask to be her friend of course! And she had offered to go with him to food so, that was just like accepting the friend request right? Sure it was. She was sure that the two were now friends.
Cadillac looked upset or something at the grass. She didn't know what he possibly could be upset about. Angel was just happy that it was green. She dipped her shortish neck to graze on the grass. It was delicious--especially when compared to that nasty brown crunchy grass that she had had in the sand. She never wanted to go back and live in there ever again. She had almost died the first time and even though she was young, she was smart enough not to try it again.
She looked up from the grass and saw that Cadillac was stretching his legs. She found this odd in several ways. The first being that they had just went over countless miles so she found it odd that he would want to stretch instead of rest and the second being that he looked like a dog. She had never seen a horse preform such a behavior. He pranced over to her and she smiled at him like he had to her. They were definitely friends. She had not seen many stallions prance. Usually it was fillies and mares with the occasional colt but rarely a stallion. She giggled a little hoping that he would not take offense to it. He held his tail high. He looked very happy to her. Mission accomplished. She had wanted him to not be so down and now he's not. She should have known that food was the answer to the problem. With males it always is. He again looked a bit unappeased with the grass but, there was nothing she could have done about it.

Cadillac I Watch How The Moon Sits In The Sky On A Dark Night The sun ceased to rise, falling behind the trees. Caddy grazed next to Angel, casting her sideways glances. His ears twitched, picking up tiny sounds. So far, the pair have not met up with any other horses. He had heard that Xato and Lycan had started a herd, but can the stallion leave the filly with the couple? She was probably no better off than with him, but he can't offer her anything. She needed another mare to learn from, and Lycan is the only one that comes to mind. Caddy wondered quietly.
His black tail swished contently, chasing flies when they landed on his hide. He was dormant for a while. He can not believe that he pranced. How embarrassing! He is hardly a young colt. He mentally rolled his eyes. He lifted his head, his audits swiveling around. So, now what he rumbled. His voice was toned low, and it vibrated his chest when he spoke. Shall we move inward. We have hardly made it out of the desert. His eyes gazed behind him, eyeing the golden sand. He returned his dark eyes to the flaxen. Oh, how he hates waiting, but for a fae who deserved no harm, he is willing.Status :: Complete Muse :: Ehh Notes :: lalala Lyrics :: Papercut by Linkin Park

Angel The grass here was much more appealing than the dry brown grass that she had ingested in the sand. This grass was green, moist and full of flavor. If she wasn't so full from the water, then she would have continued to eat it for the rest of the day. Cadillac grazed next to her. They were definitely friends in her mind. Nothing told her that they were not so, she assumed that they were. She thought about where she would live. She wanted to stay with her friend Cadillac for as long as she could because right now he was the only friend that she had but, he didn't have a herd to take her to. She wanted a family and a herd to live with. She needed the support of a herd for her development into a mare. She was not a very smart filly but, she did know that herds were a necessity.
The dark stallion asked her if she wanted to keep heading into the forest. She nodded her head in agreement when he said that they had barely made it out of the desert. Yeah, Sure. The filly smiled at him. She was ready for some more traveling. She was bred for long distances but, could her young frame handle the extra long trek? That was a thought that had not entered her mind. Where to? She didn't care where they went as long as she had a friend there with her, everything was going to be alright.
By this time her head was up and she was alertly looking at the dark stallion in front of her waiting for a direction in which they would be traveling. She wondered where he would take her. Perhaps to somewhere fun that she could run and play. Or maybe he was going to take her to where there were other young horses like herself or maybe he knew of a herd that he was going to bring her to. But, bringing her to a herd would mean that she wouldn't get to be around him anymore. That would be sad. She was never one to make a friend and then never talk to them again. If it were the case that he was bringing her to a herd then, she would just ask him to stay. Why wouldn't he want to? They were friends were they not?

Cadillac wanted badly to stretch his legs. He stared at the thickening trees behind the couple, judging the distance. Once deciding that they were far enough away, he swung his head around, winking at Angel. He wanted to rear to his full height, but resorting to a half rear, he jumped into a smooth lope. He whinnied loudly, encouraging Angel to follow his joyful run.
He kept his gait slow, waiting for the filly to catch up. His black tail was held up, showing his active energy. When was the last time he had really ran? Too long, and the stallion was anxious to stretch out.
He ran in large circles around the filly, waiting to dash off into the forest when she joins him. His head was tucked tight to his wide chest, the wind keeping his forelock out of his eyes.
Shall we?

Angel Angel readied herself for another long journey. She was ready or at least, she thought that she was. She had eaten and had water recently so why not? Besides, Cadillac looked ready to go. Actually, he looked more than ready to go. He looked excited about running more. She had to admit that she wasn't excited about more running but, she would do it anyway because her friend wanted to and she was physically able to do so. It must have been the Egyptian in her because she knew the Arabian side would have never turned down a good run.
He looked at the density of trees that were before them and it made her curious as to what he was looking at. Did he think there were scary things in there? She hoped not. The last thing she wanted was for a bear to eat her or a mountain lion. It sent a shiver down her spine. Cadillac then winked at her and whinnied for her to follow. He had his gait slow, perhaps to allow her to keep up? She thought that was insulting. She was young and physically fit. She could keep up with any adult if she wanted to. Even a thoroughbred if she ever met one. And with that, she picked a pace so that she could catch up to the stallion who had just finished running laps around her. She would see who would last the longest. Yes, this was now a competition to her and she, rarely lost. She had the determination and the will power to win this "race." Though, she had no idea where he was taking her which put her at a bit of a disadvantage. Oh well, she would still find a way to win.
The cooler grass felt better than the boiling sand. She never wanted to go back to the sand even though she hated admitting it. She knew that she would never survive in the sand alone. She wondered where Cadillac was going to take her. Maybe he was taking her to somewhere fun. She hoped so.

Cadillac I Got This Feeling in my Veins, This Train is Coming Off The Tracks SeeingAngel gather herself, meeting his stride, the stallion took off towards the grove of trees. It seemed the Earth shook with every step he quickly took. Happily, he threw in a large buck, grunting as his hooves made contact with the ground. It wasn't long before he came up to the trees, but he only slightly checked his speed. He dashed his slim body in and out, weaving a line through the brown trunks. Hopping over a fallen log, he slowed himself. Angel was young yet, and the last thing he wanted was for her to break something. He continued at a smooth trot, waiting to catch his breath. The muscles surrounding his nostrils contracted with each breath, stretching the black skin. Deep inside his chest, his heart pounded with delight. Stopping, he picked a spot where he could turn in a circle, and watched Angel gallop behind him.
Setting his feet wide, he shook his body, tossing his forelock out of his eyes. For the first time in a long time, they sparked with fire and interest. Haunches bunching, he reared his full height, legs striking the air. He let out a powerful whinny, listening it echo off the plant life. Coming back down, he previewed the area. The wind changed directions, and his sensitive nares caught a scent. It was stale and old, but he knew it. Another horse? He pricked his ears, but the only sound he heard was Angel. Tilting his head, he peered into the undergrowth, moving in the direction were it became clearer. It was another horse, another mare. Caddy knew it wasn't Lycan. He would never forget that smell, the smell of his mother and all the bloodshed she has caused.
If it wasn't Lycan, who was it? He wondered if the horse could be kind to Angel. Caddy nodded his head at his thoughts. He would find out. But first, he is going to let Angel catch her breath, and the stallion turned back to the Arab with a smile on his face.
