Oasi Just like it's name sounds, this place is an oasis. It is a place one would go to, to escape the blistering heat. It has grass and trees for shade. Oasi is still as hot as the rest of Disyerto but, the trees provide shade and the water quenches the thirst. The water here is luke warm, not the most appealing tasting water but, it tastes wonderful when your dehydrated. Oasi is a beautiful sight to anyone who lives in Disyerto. It is the reason that life in the desert is possible for horses. Life here is difficult though, one could not stay in Oasi for very long or all the grass will be eaten. The water provides nutrition for the grass so it is always green. But, even though this place may sound perfect for desert dwellers, it is also perfect for the predators that live in the desert as well. If your horse owns this section, you must allow others to eat and drink here but, you do not have to be nice about it. Moderators: Moony, Scout	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.
Dunas These are the sand dunes of the desert. They are high and slippery to climb. They are very steep and if a horse is not careful, they could slip and fall. At the top of these dunes is the hottest heat that a horse could feel. The sun beats down so hot and so hard, if one stays too long they could end up with heat blisters and sores. Many horses completely stay away from these all together but, the brave try to climb over them. Climbing over them would be somewhat quicker than walking around them but also a bit more dangerous. The heat from the top could be unbearable but, going around would take much much longer. The dunes are the only thing separating a horse from the sweet, sweet oasis. Hospitium This is not really a land, it is more of a location. It is located in the middle of the desert and it provides shade from the blistering sun. It is constructed of two large rocks sticking up from the ground and another large flat rock laying across the top. No one really knows how it got there or who made it. The sight of this monument is like a cool drink of water after a hard day's work. Inside this shelter, the temperature is about 10 degrees cooler than the air outside. This little monument could serve as several different things. If your horse owns this little building then it will be up to you to decide. Sicca This is the driest part of all Disyerto. The ground is cracked and little lizards run across the ground. Cacti dot the earth. It could be compared to an old western movie town but, without all the buildings. There are some patches of grass that allow horses to live here though the living is tough. Disyerto

Hot and dry. These are the only words that are fitting to describe this desert land. The ground here is mostly sand, with little grass in most parts although there is an oasis that holds water and grass for herds to survive. The hot sun beats down on horse's backs all day long and the cold frigid nights threaten to freeze them in their sleep. Most would say that living here was just as difficult as living in Frigida. One could guess what the most common form of death would be. The most common form of death here is starvation, heat exhaustion, dehydration or freezing to death. This land is truly for horses with excellent survival skills and a tolerance for extreme heat and coldness. The temperatures here can be so hot that they could blister a horse's body. Like Frigida, many large predators do not live here because it is much too hot for them in most parts but, there could be a large predator lurking in the oasis. Risk being eaten by a predator or risk starving to death by staying away from the life giving grass and water? That is the choice you will have to make.
